As long as they go in tight (really tight) that should be good. Your right. The pinion could come out just a little but I think its pretty good right there.
On the front axle. I made the carrier tighter to the pinion. If you live in the snow or drive in the snow I would do the same to the front as you did for the rear.
You are from Aubern so I assume at times you drive in 4x4 in the winter.
I think I am going to leave it for now, move on to my rear axle, then come back and see if I have any patience left over to try and fiddle with it. Correct me if Im wrong, but wont the carrier preload get a little bit tighter with new bearings? I just don't want to press the new bearings on, and then not be able to get the carrier in...
That makes a lot of sense, but I don't do much driving in 4x4 at anything over 15 mph. Auburn doesn't see much, if any, snow, so I only get snow on pavement if I drive 1+ hours away (almost never).
Thank you very much for the help, I appreciate it greatly.
