I'll be changing the oil pump in my 5.0 and possibly building longer radius arms with Johnny joints for my ranger. Gonna make the passenger side wristed too.

A wristed radius arm:
You reinforce the radius arm with 1/2" steel. You cut the arm off around 5 inches from the C bucket. You take 2 more pieces of 1/2" plate and weld them to the sides of the radius arm. Drill 2 holes one that's 7/8" and the other 5/8". You put a grade 8 bolt in the 7/8" hole and a hitch pin in the 5/8" hole. When you go wheeling you pull the hitch pin and it'll essentially flex like a 3-link.View attachment 10959

Yep me either. I heard about it from the 4x4 shop I ordered the Johnny joints through. I like the thought of it but I'm gonna have to make sure my welds are good on the driver side arm. It's gonna take the most stress.

Im goonna do something similar to mine. instead of just wristing it like that, I am gonna do it like cherokee and grand cherokee suspension set ups. its basicallly 2 mount points on the drivers side (one hi and one low, also the upper will be as far to the center as I can get it and the upper link goes from the axle to lower link not to the frame so its basically a radius arm) then the other side I will make a radius arm that attaches just like the drivers side but without the upper connection so it will just have a bushing. lemme fine a pic.

Yep I was gonna do something similar to that too but this is way cheaper and I'm a fan of that. I'm lookin at roughly $250 for the setup I'm gonna do. And that's getting over charged by 30% on the DOM that I bought. Kinda upset about that still.
I found a guy online that built extended radius arms like mine will be but he didn't wrist his passenger side.

Look at this freebie! Broken Hypertherm Powermax 900 plasma cutter from work. Not sure what is wrong with it but id like to fix. Will sever 1-1/8" plate.

Anybody know anything about these? Like what typically fails? Or know anybody who might know how to repair it?

I've got it listed on Craig's right now super high just to see if any interest is there just as a parts machine. Probably wont sell
