My wife and I bought a 31’ sailboat. It’s older so not all that roomy, but there’s enough room that it can be decorated. My wife is picking out the obligatory, sailing themed pillows and blankets and such. I wanted to go for a ski lodge vibe but that got shut down. So I’m looking for tidbits to sneak in over time. I definitely want a small “so you’re lost at sea for dummies” type book and a small taxidermied animal head. A deer head won’t fit, so I want literally just a tiny animal head to hang up… squirrel? Rabbit?

maybe a few lizard heads in the corners?

i feel like sailing themed blankets and pillows could be too much on a sailboat. i think your hunting lodge idea would be way better.

What boat did you get? I have a small sailboat and would like a larger cruiser some day, but just don't have time or money at the moment.

Exactly what I said... but I don't have the authority to override the decision apparently.

It's a 1989 Hunter 31 I picked up for $6k. It's a marina foreclosure in fantastic shape and would be a deal at double the price... triple would be on the low side too. I'll put a few grand in for a bottom job and if it doesn't work out, I can get my money back in the engine and sails alone.

Sounds awesome! Have fun with it!

:worthless:

I would go more classical sailboat decor.

Wood, canvas, brass etc.

I would love to have one, don't know much about sailing and don't have anywhere to do it if I did.

Oversized Brandy Glass. fill it with candy, drugs, condoms (ribbed magnums) and handgun ammo. Set center stage. You will narrow down your preferred company.

Adrift is on Netflix, its a pretty good movie to pass some time too. :icon_thumby:
