Modern trucks....when is enough...enough?

Unless he's towing with a dually or a fifth wheel he's exceeding rated capacity. Weren't you just bitching about this?
Its a 5th wheel.

I know they would be a special order.

Trucks are either for work or status symbol, very little in between on a lot.

Chrome grilles are gaudy anymore, carpet stains, I don't like big ipad radios, I don't want a full length console, I am not too good for a collum shift, I can back my own trailer without a stupid knob on the dash, painted bumpers rot out, I don't want highway gears, I hate leather, diesels are a maintenance nightmare...

By the time I whittle crap off I don't like from a typical lot truck there isn't much left I do like.

But what about a heated steering wheel? It's glorious. Even better than heated seats

Usually wearing gloves in the winter unless the truck is warm inside, never had a problem with my leather steering wheel at that point.

Almost worse in the summer if I park it at work going the wrong direction, drive halfway home with like two fingers holding onto it until it cools down to a believable temperature.

Grab hold of the plastic wheel in my 77 on a -15 morning, talk about cold.

I wouldn't say that. I use my heated seats more than my heated wheel. But I do love it none the less.

in my F250 that thing felt like driving an ice cube for the first 30 mins of my commute ever day. Never really felt comfortable driving in gloves.

After chipping ice and/or digging it out of the snow it takes me awhile to want to give up my gloves. :icon_twisted:

About 10 min on the highway and it is about time to take the gloves off.

Really remote start would be better than heated anything I think. Cloth seats don't really get that cold. The vinyl seat that my Ranger came with... that sucked.

That's what the garage is for

I've never had a sweaty ass from any of my heated seats. I've owned probably a dozen rigs with them.

My F-150 would wear my garage like a hat.

So my Ranger hibernates in there over the winter.

That sucks. I can fit a super duty in my house garage.

I usually have some project going on the Ranger so no matter what it would get the garage anyway.

This year will be an M5OD and D35 swap. :yahoo:

I could probably get my F-150 in the barn now, just got the lot cleaned up last night.
