Well, I've been away for awhile finishing up school and working a new job... The old Explorer I had a while back that was converted to 4wd sat around with no use and being that I had no time to use it I got rid of it... Well, 2 weeks ago my DD 2000 Ranger gets t-boned and with 200k+ miles on it, 90% sure it'll be a total loss... Being that my life has settled down where I can actually start taking camping trips again (and we've been having to use my buddy's stock TJ) I'm in the market now for a new truck... Build I'll put up once I get a new sploder itll basically be like my old truck a couple inches of lift and 235/85-16's and a sleeping/drawer platform in the back... I have a couple questions though

Do the 4-door Explorers have the nifty little fold forward seats that my Sport did that makes a nice flat floor?

Did Ford ever make a 4-door 5-speed with a manual t-case? I'm pretty sure a select few Sports I've seen with them maybe? I'm not positive though...

Whoa Dude - it's been a long time. Welcome back. I can't answer any of your questions, but I sure liked my 4 door Exploder - until I tried to come back from the hospital with twin boys and the daughter in the middle. Car seats wouldn't fit.

Tell me about it... Life gets in the way haha... With one more year of school left and financially able, I'm ready to get back out and do some trips... Luckily carseats aren't a worry for me (yet;), but sleeping room is... My Sport was just a tab short for someone over 6'... Hence why I'm looking for a 4-door... Sadly 4-door 5-speeds are hard to come by...

My 91 Explorer was a 4 door with a 5 spd, manual case and hubs, but power windows and locks.

The back seats did fold down, and while it wasn't perfectly flat, it was pretty close. Definitely sleepable, and I'm 6'4.

I miss that thing...

Sweet... I'm more concerned in finding a M50D truck than the manual tcase but itd be a plus... I wish I'd never sold my old Explorer, even though it was, literally, falling apart... The floor is flat enough... I plan on recreating the drawer unit I had in the other one albiet longer (it wasnt technically drawers as much as it was a divider with a sleeping platform), this one will have drawers for gear though
