... since NOBODY makes a sending unit for the 1st gen rangers, I am curious on how to adapt a universal kit to a ranger fuel tank?
after I bend the foat and stuff, the dia of the sending unit top piece is slightly smaller than the OEM sender.
What would be the best way to make a adaptor for the new sender to fit in the Ranger gas tank?
I am thinking perhaps a machined piece of nylon bolted to the new sender and thin enough I can still use the OEM lock ring.
Basically I don't want it to leak, and I need to use materials that are not affected by gasoline, I am not too sure about nylon, perhaps a better material?
Ideals?
