Yes they do get paid for having a sticker..!
When you asked, "Do you think racers run shoddy junk just because they get paid money to put a sticker on the side of there car? Winning means it works as well or better then stock .$100, of millions spent in auto racing and none of those guys with the big budgets check this stuff out???"
Well, yes, that is zackly what happens. The racer with the sticker gets paid for having the sticker... NOT paid for using whatever might be written on that particular sticker. Cause in most ALL cases they ain't using the product.
Nobody EVER looks under the hood or checks out his motor oil.. It is a simple matter of if he has the sticker he gets paid!
As for equipment.. NASCAR teams have all of it that is made and make some different equipment themselves.
