So I recently bought a 93 ranger , Manual trans , 2wd . And I noticed that the abs light keeps flashing , according to codes it flashes 4 times , and the 5th time it stays on , so looking at the code chart , “system dumps too many times , condition occurs while making normal or hard stops , rear brake may lock” so I need more information since I’m new to these type of trucks

eh, put a piece of electrical tape over the light and drive on... unplug the abs module fuse.

My ABS light has been on 14 years and 10 months of the 15 years that I have owned it. (1997 Ranger) Previous owner who bought it brand new fought the ABS issues from day one and Ford fixed it under warranty at least 2 times, he fixed it out of pocket once before he gave it to me... I figured it isn't worth the aggravation. likely it is the pump module which is on the frame rail under the driver's door. maybe when I redo the brake lines in the not so distant future I might look deeper into it...

Ford RABS (rear anti lock brake system) is truly useless...

Best way to fix it is to remove it and move on with life.

RABS.... RWAL... all the rear wheel anti-lock systems were bad.

These trucks tend to lock up the rear wheel(s) with ease. Is it just the light issue or are you experiencing actual rear brake problems?

Well the brakes seem to be fine to me honestly , just sometimes like kinda rarely whenever I make a stop the tires drift like if it had a little resistance , other than that the brakes are fine to me

I guess I don't understand the tire drift thing... I also question what you mean by a little resistance.
