I can not find a thermostat housing! need one asapMy thermostat housing broke while I was replacing my thermostat. I can not find a replacement anywhere and need one ASAP. Please help! I'm in the phoenix area.

Can't find one in the junkyard? I may have one, I'll look and get back to you tomorrow.

if it is for a 2.8, the t-stat is under the lower radiator hose connector, and my 84 looked nothing like the pic

That piece goes on the intake, but yeah there shouldn't be a t stat under it.

I have that part sitting on my desk here, but I can't be getting rid of it until I know that the conversion parts will work ok. Hopefully they will be here today (Friday), but they may not get here until Monday. If you can wait until then and when I have the truck back together and running (I'm in a hurry to get this thing running again so...) I can maybe work something out with you.

Thank you guys! ShadowWolf that would be great! just let me know I'll send you a PM.

Found mine and its no good. Has a hole nearly corroded all the way through the house fitting.

Midyear '85 they moved them to where god intended them to be between the intake and upper radiator hose.

I haven't looked but JC Whitney will probably have one. Try JC Whitney.com

I just checked LMC truck, they have the lower piece, but not the upper one.

Part number is 83TF-8592-EB

I THINK this will work, but I am not 100% sure. This neck is for the older 2.8L engine, but it looks to have the same mount and all. You would need a pipe plug for the 3rd and 4th holes. Not sure I am allowed to post links either... Also, water neck is the proper name for this part http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fss-84862/overview/make/ford
