Help Needed

I've noticed a few things start to go wrong with my '96 Ranger recently and since I'm not an expert at anything automotive, I thought I might try this forum and see if anyone might be able to help.

I first noticed that the a/c in my truck would get hot when going up hills or pushing the truck a little harder than normal. I figured this was nothing to worry about since it's summer in Oklahoma.

Next, I noticed that every now and then the truck had poor acceleration, most noticeably when I would take off at stoplights. It doesn't seem to always have that poor acceleration, but it's often enough to notice it and want to fix it.

Now, I still have the poor acceleration issues and my a/c is blowing slightly cooler than outside temperature and the compressor keeps clicking on and off every 5 seconds or so. Also, If I don't give it a little gas at idle, the temperature will slow climb.

Things you should know: I replaced the radiator about 2 months ago and I charged the a/c earlier in the summer and checked recently to make sure it's still at a normal level (it is).

Put your gauges on the A/C connections. You used gauges when you charged, right? See what the pressure is on the low side when the compressor clutch releases or cycles. If it is consistently below ~25psi, you are likely low on refrigerant. The LPCO is cutting power to prevent freezing the evaporator and also protecting the compressor.
Check your coolant level and if you go WOT climbing a hill, the A/C compressor will be de-powered as a safety measure.
