Full Width SAS on '90 Danger the 4th

Lol. You can't squeal tire in my ranger. Before it went under the knife, a clutch dump burnout was actually a big jerk and a stall :-)

haha. Put some 5.13s in it. I can spin my 36s with my 2.9L :D

I dumped my clutch once.....it was right after my locker install. I chirped tire and then my transmission output snapped...lesson learned.

I've broken many parts due to a clutch dump. Starting at the clutch and going the wholeway throught the drivetrain till you get to the rear wheels. Everypart atleast once :annoyed:

The new arms are in and I made new shock mounts so I can keep the old shocks (factory Superduty ones) I took the springs and shocks back out to see if there was any binding which would keep me from tucking the tire like I want. There is no binding :) . It tucks no problem with out springs. Which is good. Going to see how the new setup works next weekend. The bushings might just need to be broken in a bit. Hopefully she will tuck the tires a little better. If not, I will be on the hunt for softer springs. Maybe 160-175 ppis. I am currently running 190 ppi springs.

I'm sure when you start twisting the truck (like PlumCrazy and my avatar) you will see them tuck front and back. Did you modify the coil bucket so the spring will unload?

Not yet. Going to see how it works as is first.

This is playing around at my house yesterday. The springs definately compress. Just not as soon as I would like. But I am happy with how its working, just didnt meet my dreams lol. Its a simple Ranger, not a $30,000-40,000 Jeep :headbang: Like you and Plum said, once I twist it, it should end up like yours.

Edit: Better Picture

Maybe I should sell my 36s to Plumcrazy and get some 37s to fill that gap haha

can you do me a favor and let me know how long the tubing is for the radius arms you made and how long did you cut the old radius arms from the axle

They are 43" from the flat to the joint hole. So about 40" from the inner part of the "C". I might have made these too long haha

Length from the center of the axle tube to the hole in the joint is 43" +/-0.25". I started with 1.75" OD x 0.25" wall x 40" long DOM tube. They were $49 each. I ended up cutting about 4" off each tube. I will find out how much I cut off for sure tonight.
For the arms, the main structure is like a mini I-beam that tapers down towards joint end. I cut them where the web was slightly larger than 1.75" which was my tube OD. I can also measure this tonight to give you an estimate. Then I slotted and fitted the tube so it lined up with my frame rails. I thought I would need to bend them, but I didnt with that length. With my wheel/tires setup, I dont have tire interference either. They mount on the frame just behind the trans cross member.
I will also get a picture of my shock tabs tonight. I use factory 2002 F-350 gaser front shocks.

Here is the trans crossmember I made. Its crude as i made it with scrap steel I had lying around. I had to keep it about the bottom of the frame so it didnt interfere with the arms. I also had to make it a 2 piece so I could remove and reinstall it since it sits on the bottom of the frame channel. The loop under the front DS is 2x2" x 0.125" wall square tube. I wanted that to be strong as I know it will see a lot of contact with rocks. The rest is 1.75" OD x .090" wall tube that I got out of Summit Racing clearance for $5 several years ago. I finally got to use it haha.

I still need to brace my arm mounts or the frame around the arm mounts. I know there will be some twisting there.
