I am also going to take it down the road to the gas station some time this week. It hasnt been on the road in almost 2 years. I am slightly nervous haha. With the old steering, it was pretty scary above 35 mph. And yes, my speedo works and is dead on.

I broke the drivers side axle shaft. It broke at the joint and at the carrier. the splined section is still in the carrier

Yep, should be. I just home the splines didnt twist. I doubt the 2.9 is capable of that.

I have a spartan locker up front.

I had to pull you out, twice in this spot.

That was a dumb move on my part. I have never wheeled in mud and underestimated it haha. Only having one drive wheel up front is a huge difference....
