Full Width SAS on '90 Danger the 4th

Congrats. Someone i voted for finally won lol. I think kyle m's are near that

Got the arms and trans cross member made, painted and installed. It flexes much better! When its under load, I think it will tuck the front better. A heavier engine will help as well. I am running 190 ppi coils and the 2.9L. Thinking about trying some Jeep coils. Need to do some research on those. I still have some little odds and ends to do. Like shock mounts. My current shocks are way too short now. I want to weld some tubes in the coil towers as well so the springs can drop. But it will work as is for the trip I have planed in a few weeks. I will test and tune there.

Just playing around in the garage after I got the arms installed. My tires are 36x14.50s

I would add some plate to side and bottom of the frame where the mounts are to spread the load out. I would be worried the bottom it the frame would tear.

I agree. I need to box the frame there or something. The frame is half the thinkness of the arm brakets haha.
The frame is actually torn form the last set of arms. I need to fix that before we go as well.

Looks good brad, just need longer shocks now.

And a 4.0L... lol

Still doesnt tuck the front like I want. But I have the motion. Thats step one. Now I have to play with the springs

I wonder what the difference in weight is between a 4.0 and 2.9. If I sit on the corner of my hood (250 lbs), it starts to tuck pretty good.

Edit: or maybe I was shipped the wrong springs back when I ordered them haha

I don't think there is much difference in weight.

Mine doesn't tuck unless it has too. On a jack or poser flexing my front doesn't do much, but if there is power the front wheels pulling the truck around, then the wheel tucks.....right into my bumper.lol

It also loosened up big time after one wheeling trip, not bad in a bad way, but got the joints freed up a little.

I think that's just the way the wedgie arm Ford setup is. I think that is why my super cab on 190 ppi coils is streetable with no sway bars.

That makes me feel better. Once I get a few more things wrapped up, I am going to drive to the gas station. It has been 18 months since she has seen pavement! Hopefully with the new steering, it drives pretty good :) I miss driving it. A lot.
