Doing head gaskets on my 94 Ranger 3.0 and I have to remove the intake to get them off, in order to remove the intake i have to disconnect the fuel lines, now I know it takes a special disconnect tool (which i have) and I've used them before to do a fuel tank, however on these lines it doesn't seem to be pushing in at all, is there something I'm forgetting? or are they just stubborn?
thanks

Bleed the pressure from the system first, via schrader valve, looks like a tire air valve.
Have a towel handy it can squirt quite a distance :)

The tool should be the right size but can't say for sure.

I have used plastic from an old anti-freeze or oil bottle, cut and then rolled in a tube to push in and release the spring tabs.

i tripped the inertia switch and cranked the engine for a few seconds, that worked last time, but i'll try the schrader valve- the big thing is it feels like it's solid where i should be putting the removal tool

Google: F150 remove spring lock connectors fuel rail

there is a video that shows how

My '94 4.0l has regular compression fitting, just unscrew the nut.

As I recall when I did my 93 it took a bit of jamming to get it to unlock.

wound up just undoing the bolts that held the rail assembly to the intake and then I could move it far enough out of the way to get the intake out, not how i wanted to do it but it worked
