sure robert, you can borrow the cover design. i was actually inspired to make it after seeing plumcrazy's (i think?) pumpkin face cover, so it was kind of original but not entirely.

Passenger side is all ground down and the paint is on, i just hope it dries being that its only 38* outside. Now its time to relax and assemble a plan of attack for tomorrow.

its starting to feel like im in a race against the weather, but at least the finish line is within sight. today i got 2 more coats of por15 put on the panels, i sprayed rubberized undercoating underneath the panels (back sides of the inner rocker panels) and also inside the jump seat compartments. while waiting for that stuff to dry i installed a new fuel filler neck since mine was begining to show its age, and then decided to spray some duplicolor bedliner onto the back of the sub enclosures to give them a textured and finished look. just before dark (5pm WTF?) i was able to get the 1st coating of herculiner on the panels and then hopefully tomorrow i can wrap this up.

the truck is all back together now and the hi-lift project is about 1/2 complete. i made this base for the jack to bolt to when im in soft terrain or i need to change a tire and dont want to risk the truck tipping over while the wheel is off. ill have pictures up soon of the freshly painted hi-lift and base.

plus, i may copy your rear bumper idea for my new tow rig....without the spare tire mount though...

Oh, and I've already decided to steal this idea as well. I just bought both sets of 4.88's from Nate, and I'm gonna install them as soon as my master install kit comes in.

Since my truck is green, I'm going bright neon green. And it's gonna look sick. Like ill sick. Also inspired by this:

And your fabbing the rockers looks great. I don't have the skill nor the patience. I'm working on it though!

I looked for the pumpkin face cover, but i couldnt find the build thread on it. i believe it was on plums purple ranger, the one he had before the badass blue one. it was basically a cover painted orange with 3 black triangles for the eyes and nose and then a black mouth with square teeth, just like the classic jack o lantern look. on a side note, does anyone know where there is a good article on setting up the moog adjustable camber bushings? the shop i used to use just lost their alignment guy to the GM tech center, so that means i no longer have someone i trust to align my truck properly.

O'Reilly's better suspension brand is Moog, and they may have info on the computer. I can't remember if they do or not.

But, the camber bushings are really just straight-forward. You take em out, and replace them with the appropriate size. The hole is not centered, it is offset and allows you to manually turn the bushing (in the upper ball joint) while in the TTB. That allows the tire to change it's camber angle. How much is up to you and what is recommended (it's not exactly rocket science, just treadwear).

thanks pete, i just wish i had 4wd so that i could set up the the camber with a degree wheel like the one tech article showed. ive already got the moog K80109 adjustable camber bushings, im just not sure where i need to adjust them to. as it sits right now i can visually see that i have too much positive camber so i thought about pulling the existing bushings out and wire wheeling them to expose the # thats on them and then set the adjustables -1 degree from the existing bushing and then see where that puts me, then if i need to go another degree or so? i dont want to change my caster as it was in spec before the leveling, but i also am not sure how much the installation if the spacers would have affected it.

heres the pictures i said i would get up, the hi lift is all primed and ready for the multiple top coats ill be giving it. i still need to sand blast the main post with my pot blaster since it was too long to fit in the steel-a-brator machine. (Edit) i put it in the oven for 2 hours at 700 and when i cooled down i was able to use a scotch brite pad and wipe off the remaining paint dust so there was no sand blasting necessary.

my old man also got a 6pt buck on opening day, so now our freezer is full of venison!

Hm. Dig around more through the threads. I'm sure there are more sources to help you out exactly. I'll do a search at another time (work is about to let out).

I would think that the TIB would be just as similar...perhaps I'm wrong.

I also emailed Plum and he got back to me with his old cover. Ha, it IS pretty funny.
