Ford recalls 700,000 vehicles Ranger included

totally off-topic, but why cant they have the power windows on the same circuit as the power locks?-LIVE- at all times, you hop in with some food & (try) to eat then the garbage bees want to come in, you cant just hit the switch & roll up the window, and the keys are still in your pocket that you cant get to, and you have a hot carry-out order of bourbon chicken . ( yes, its the escape I was out in today, not only does the key for the ranger never come out of the ignition, its manual windows anyhow)
I had a astro van years ago that a previous owner had a issue with the relay for the power windows, so he bridged the power feed from the power lock relay and it then had “live” power windows! Best thing ever, say it would start to rain, just run out & hit the switch, no problem!, no looking for keys, no need to mess with the ignition if you’re parked and want to roll down a window. I dont get the logic on having to need the key on to operate a power window.

Don't eat at the dump and you won't be attacked by garbage bees... :icon_idea:

Well, now, that's easy. Neighbourhood kid comes by on the day that you forget to lock the vehicle. Opens the door, rolls down all four windows. You don't realize it's happened, and it starts to rain. After an all night rain, you go out to get into the vehicle, and discover the windows down ("I thought they were rolled up"), and the interior soaked.

Car/truck doors lock?

The manual windows in ranger could be rolled down just as easy, never had a issue, I’d beat a kids damn ass if I caught them messing with things.

I never lock my doors...

I'd rather the theives just open my door to steal the 16 sticky cents in the ash tray then break my window. If someone needs those chowdah soaked pennies that bad, they deserve them.

No way. Then my passenger can't pick up my phone to answer a text, or use their own phone.
Talk to each other.

I have no clue why people these days think its so all fired important to be reachable at all times. Untill the last 15 or so years mankind was just fine waiting on a callback.

Centering up on the trailer and getting the distance about right in the 2011 isn't too bad. Now, the 2019 with that tall tailgate and the tiny rear window is a different story. For hooking up a trailer, the rear camera is pretty much a must.

WELL EXCUSE ME for needing to send a text message to somebody that is expecting me so that I can confirm my ETA!

I just talk to my radio and it makes calls or sends texts for me.

I start fires...

I wouldn't worry about it, with rusty's grasp of modern technology his idea of a cell phone jammer would probably look something like this...

We'll have none of that, Mister!

AJ

Good luck doing that when Rusty's cellphone jammer blocks your phone the minute you turn on the ignition.
I’m sure I can either shut it off through IDS or just take the dumb looking thing Dirtman posted out of the vehicle.

Oh yea, what if they put it in with like glue or something!
