Hey folks,

Apologies in advance if there is a thread about this topic already, however, I wasn't able to find it.

I'm thinking about swapping out my old and broken headlight assemblies for some aftermarket ones and want to go with LEDs. If anyone has advice or tips, that'd be awesome! Just so you know, I'm more interested in performance and quality than looks or style.

I'm between the following projector and reflector headlight assemblies:

Be careful, there is a lot of junk out there that is not DOT approved.

Interesting little paragraph in this link.

Even the DOT approved ones can generate a lot of glare. Heck even ones specifically designed for the vehicle from the manufacturer can be that way. I'm not a fan of LED head lights as a result.

So I’m gonna move this to where it goes…

I don't care for the light color of LED either (too much blue). This is partly what intensifies the glare and also make their distance penetration worse.
I would suggest stick with halogen bulbs and add a pair of auxiliary driving lights (for augmenting the high-beams) and/or fog lights (augments the low-beams). Use a relay so you can have them switch on & off with the high or low beams.
