FM145 Replacement Shifter Assembly

In need of a replacement shifter for my 85 ranger with the FM145 trans. Can't rebuild due to shifter breaking completely off at the teflon ball. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I checked Core transmissions but they're out of stock and have been for a while.

I looked at this and honestly wouldn't mind spending the money that fixes what ford messed up with the FM145 shifter design but its out of stock unfortunately. I still appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Core shifters seem to be perpetually out of stock. I'd e-mail them to ask if there is an ETA.

I considered this, however it seems many must have had the same idea because he has it listed on the site that he won't respond to emails inquiring about ETA's of out of stock products

I did end up finding one on car-part.com which was a new site for me. Found someone in PA that had one. The downside to that is that it's still the same raggy shifter Ford made in the 80's and not near as solid as the Core shifter

Love it.

They do "burp" fluids up into the aftermarket boot a little.

Doesn't get in the cab. You will smell it from time to time.

YMMV, watch for uneven tire wear, avoid cheap hose.
