Hey, heard you can flash OBD-1 codes using a paper clip? I've already got a code reader on the way but it won't be here til after the weekend and I had been hoping to be able to flash the codes before then, I don't really know- I've been spoiled with a code reader at the tech school I attend so I haven't really researched "alternative methods" for getting codes, I don't really trust just googling it either ha, thanks

on the '94 and '92 follow the analog volt meter method on that link except forget the volt meter, short the two terminals then go sit in the cab with a pen and paper, turn the key on and watch the check engine light flash, easy as pie... I have a little piece of metal held under my hood on a magnet for a code reader...

I usually take my video camera and record the flashes. Makes reviewing it a little easier as I tend to lose count.

they go through twice with an 11 in the middle I think, if things don't make any sense take down as many as you can and watch for repeats on your paper, that's what I do
