What Ford called "Headers" didn't appear til the 85 model year. And they weren't exactly "free flowing"
They're all somewhat "pinched" at the head ports to gain clearance for the factory bolts. They're pinched in various other places too, to gain clearances for other reasons as well.
I never said they were good, just that they were headers and not manifolds.
I would have thought they came out with the foxbody, I hear more about the later ones than the older ones.
