explorer manifolds

I don't see how. The pinched portion at the ports of the lower one in those pics can't be any more than 1/2" wide on the outside. :icon_confused:

Look at how straight the manifold is between the ports... it has to be the driver side.

The bottom manifold in this picture is what I'm talking about. That's the driver's side and I don't see how a quarter would fit into the port, based on the degree that it's pinched between the bolts on numbers 5, 6 & 7. All the other ports are wide open and I see no problem dropping a quarter into the port.

Point is, the ports on 5, 6 & 7 aren't exactly free flowing with the pinched portions. The opening may be bigger, but that quarter ain't going very far before stopping. And the flow from 5 & 6 past the 7 port must get pretty crowded, certainly no better than the tubular manifolds.

Okay, The tube style are terrible and the cast ones aren't much better. Wasn't someone going to work on a spread sheet with pictures to really show the good, bad and ugly? Maybe I can take some time, not working, too cold outside, give me something constructive to do. Have to see.

Very much agree. :D

Well we made several suggestions as to a "sticky" thread :icon_idea: for headers, but someone in charge of this here forum seems not to want to do one. :icon_confused:
