Cross drilling rotors at home?

Thinner rotors=less metal surface area=more heat.
Stop being cheap and buy some new rotors before you kill yourself or someone else!

I want to point one thing out. This heat gets dissipated quicker because of the slotting while the less surface are actually increases the psi of the pad to rotor effectively increasing braking power. But only a little. They will have more grab till they heat up, this is why the are used on race cars with brake duct systems

Yeah, turning rotors is bad. That is why it as been done for so long and by so many shops all over the world. But, you have helped me see the light... not really. I will continue to turn rotors as long as they are with in spec. And, I have yet to kill anyone as a result.

I agree with the race car thing. It just seems like every one is slapping them on all kinds of vehicles.
