My 92 ranger 4x4 needs the coil/shock buckets replaced. Curious as to if earlier 1st gen 4x4 buckets would fit (aside from some minor mods like brake line placement) or if it needs to be closer to the model year? The reason I am asking is b/c I found a pair in the classifieds of an 88 4x4 I just want to make sure they will work.

Yes, they will work. IIRC 83-97 coil buckets are the same...I have a great pair I'd sell you off my 96, only reason I pulled them off is I'm doing 1 ton SAS with Air shocks and don't need em...
