hey guys im using a 79 fw d44 for my sas on my 94 ranger 2wd and i had something i was curious about. is it best to use the coil buckets from the donor truck or could you still use the stock ranger buckets? and if so how does that effect the lift of the ranger?

thanks,

Cody

I would use the buckets from the donor truck, but I can not tell you much about the affect on lift.

the stock buckets give u a ton of lift since they recieve less of the coil. the 70's ford truck coil buckets mount the coil higher up in relation to the frame than the stock ranger buckets. i used the ranger buckets and just factored in the xtra lift when doing my sas.

super old thread lol. i ended up just making my own and setting the height to where i wanted. less complicated that way didnt have to go out searching for parts.
