I have a 87 Bronco2 2.9l 2wd,and there is a clattering sound when i take off and the noise sounds like its coming from the Dummy transfer case...it quiets down once i get going over 10:dunno:mph... Can anyone give any give me any feedback on any similar problems they have had like this....Thanks

There's nothing in the dummy case. Just a pass-through shaft, a couple of bushings, and the enclosure itself.

Feel free to take it off and open it up, it doesn't even require lubrication. If something's amiss inside, it should be obvious.
