If he lived in my state, the original poster's problems are just beginning. He finally gets his v8 swap done, pat's himself on the back, and then he has to go and get an inspection sticker. Inspector lifts the hood, see's all that custom stuff and v8 engine in there, says nope and puts a big red sticker on the windshield. And then charges you $15.
So then you formulate plan B. You go spend a bunch of money to get antique plates. No inspection required. Then you find out you can only drive it to the mechanics shop, and car shows.
Some of you guys don't know how good you have it.
Georgia is the same way with no inspections but Massachusetts is one where all are inspected for safety, any thing new than 15 years has emissions testing and Antques have a limited number of milage able to be legally driven a year.In northwest Ohio there are no inspections of any type, no windshield stickers, no emmissions testing, nothing.
