CITY DOES NOT LIKE MY RANGER

I rescued my bronco from a junkyard and it turns out that I bought it literally hours after it got dropped off for scrap, happy coincidence I guess. So the truck never got processed as a salvage title and still has a clean title, I've often wondered what an inspector would say if I had to take the truck in to get it inspected for registration. My buddy has an 85 f150 with the big ol 351w in it, the trucks in beautiful shape but got totaled due to a fire and rebuilt before he bought it. He had to get it inspected, a whole modern exhaust with cats put in etc etc. He ended up spending thousands just to get it up to code. Meanwhile, im driving around in a truck that would give an inspector a stroke with a clean title and classic plates and no one bats an eye....gotta love bureaucracy

Ok, I know Vermont.... Montana??

A few years ago Nebraska had a big sting on a doctor registering his classic car collection in South Dakota. They observed where the cars spent the majority of time which was above Nebraska's threshold and busted him. I think he lost a few of the cars over it.

They have a law that if your car spends so much of the time (like say 75%) in Nebraska it must be registered in Nebraska. Since Nebraska has obsene registration fees compared to surrounding states many try to register over the boarder.

Hello again and Happy Saturday,
After reading the ripples in the pond I will conduct myself...... in exactly the same manner!
Honestly, it's our duty to evolve as a species.
