cHEAP WAYS TO LIFT!!!

the best thing that u can do for a suspension upgrade is coil over conversion. it will give u about two inches of lift if u want. but if u want more then two inches of lift u need more then 800 bucks. the best lift they have know is takeing the 4 inch superlift and replace the torsion bars with the coil over conversion.

if you look on r/f there is alot of info on the coil over conversion. hope this helped.

OKay then So if i cranked my T bar and saved up for a superlift lift kit i should have around a 8-9inch raise??? So dose the lift take the T bar out?:icon_confused:

Well you would have the 3" BL and then the Super lift which I believe is 4" so you would have 7" of lift. When you do the lift you want to take the T bar back down as the kit is setup to level the truck out...

And I am not sure about the Super lift. I believe it keeps the T bars and adds a drop braket for them, the old RCD lift converted it to coilovers but they aren't sold anymore except for used ones...

Correct.

Also correct.

Also know that a coil-over conversion by itself will not lift the truck any more than a torsion bar crank will. The mounting points are still the mounting points and the suspension travel is still the suspension travel. If anyone doesn't believe me, jack it up, crawl under the front end, look around for a while, ponder what you see, and tell me how are you going to make it work differently? Put another way, jack it up until the front tires are barely touching the ground. Now then, exactly WHAT are you going to do to make it any higher than that? And if you do, now how much downtravel do you have? (answer: 0") How much angle is on the CV joints now? (answer: a lot)

A dude on the Sport Trac site did a coil-over on his Trac a while back but he still used Superlift drop brackets and knuckles to lift the truck. You have to.

Well I guess that worked. :icon_cheers:

Cheapest way to lift is spring under axle and 5150 spindles. Pull bedsides, and put in prerunner front fenders, 35s are no problem
