Cheap ways to improve performance?

Don't forget fluids. Gasoline weighs a lot. Maybe keep your tank 1/4 full or less. Use 3 quarts of motor oil instead of 5. If you're really ambitious drill holes all over your frame. A swiss cheese frame will weigh considerably less than a solid frame. Plus the holy frame will flex like crazy off road.

It is my DD, It's not just an ORV, can I still drill holes in the frame?

You can jump here and try shifting my stick any time... That is, if you think you can handle an 18spd...... Lemme know when your ready for a double stick.......

Thats only if you think you can handle going 130mph on a snowmachine in 5 degree mountian weather.:thefinger:

C'mon Im from Lansing Michigan, a trip to Detroit is a freakin vacation for me, I think I can handle Alaska:offtopic:

man, and people wonder why I LOVE my 2.3L 2wd 93. Lilly get 25mpg IN TOWN! 30 on the highway. Parks highway, Alaska is 367 miles from Fairbanks to Anchorage, I get 355 miles on ONE tank (15gallon). Plus it's a manual. I HATE automatics now that I have a stick. Plus, Girls now how to drive a stick better. ;-)

Where can I find a girl like you? lol :shok:

Alright, either you're playing us back pretending to be dumb or you really are. If the former, touche! The latter, well then you deserve some decent advice for being so gullable. lol, anyway you haven't mentioned what drivetrain you have (or you have and I missed it). Engine, trans, axle info? Also, what are you looking to do with it? An exhaust upgrade will give it a good tone, but the small gain in power will be unnoticable. I run a powertrax no-slip locker which made a HUGE difference over the open 8.8 differential I had from factory. Give us the info and an aproximate budget so we don't over/undershoot. If you have 3.27 gears with a 3.0L automatic for instance I would suggest 4.10 gears, some trans upgrades, and underdrive crank pully.

No im really that dumb, Im a good body man but im not as intelligent when it comes to performance. I have a V6 with an automatic transmission, both stock, idk what kind of drivetrain i have, probably stock. sorry idk more :dunno:

lol, well here we go. If you know its a V6, ford offered two choices in 2000. A 3.0L and a 4.0L OHV. You should be able to find out by looking under the hood. Anyway, if you're a body man you might find more pleasure in items like a roll pan for instance.
