rebuilt my 95 Ranger 4.0 OHV motor and now have to get the cam synchronizer installed and timed. This is not the round 1 you put the cardone colored tool on and drop it in at TDC. This one has the clear window in the top where you can see the sensor vane. I found the service procedure and it calls for wiring harness T94T-50-B and they are quite spendy if they can be found. Think I could make the harness from a spare harness I have from a donor truck but I don't know which of the 3 terminals is power, ground or whatever the 3rd one does. Procedure involves measuring 12 volts at a precise location when turning the sensor when installed at 26 deg. ATDC. if anyone is familiar with this procedure or knows how to make the harness please give me some advice. Thanks.

I managed to do it without the tool. I don't remember exactly how, as I was working the crank and one of my co-workers stabbed the sensor in. I know we had to get the crank a few degrees past TDC and then line the vane up with a mark on the window.
