Buy a ranger project or save for house?

No....No....annnnnd NO on buying the house first....Logic must be used here!

In the first place---A. what shape is the Ranger in?

In the 2nd place-----how much is the Ranger?

If answer A. is "very good"..........score 1 *point.

If answer B. is "I have the money in my pocket right now"....score another *point.

Now for question C.

C. "Would I be O.K. with sleeping in the Ranger if need be until I saved up a good down payment on the house I want"?.......if the answer is yes, score 98 *points.

*(100 points is necessary for permission to buy the Ranger before buying the house)

So what you are saying is, it'd be ok if it was a super cab.

Doorgunner,

I would NOT be able to do that here, as the last 3 months nighttime temperatures have been MINUS 30 - 35 (that is BELOW zero)...........

Greg

Gunner is like me he lives where you never see snow. I think sleeping in my B4000 would be real uncomfortable unless I had a topper on the bed and even then I am pretty sure I wouldn't be able to stretch out with the tailgate up.

We won't discuss the mosquitoes that would see you as an offering to the Gods if you slept with the lid up and the gate down.

ADS_.................WHAT I WAS SAYING WAS.......... use common sense when really "wanting" something.....consider things like food, a roof, comfort, warmth, finances, toilet paper, etc when making a major decision.

Panama.... I got a cutting torch, and some tin, we could do a foot-well in that tail gate in about 1/2 an hour or so, just by my ticket, and I'd do the work for free even.........

Yeah.. But that would ruin the nice lines on my sweet little truck...However if I keep spending money on this thing at the rate I have been wife may give me no choice. So... I may have to take you up on that offer.... :icon_rofl:

Install an engine heater and battery tender and run a cord to the neighbors. :icon_thumby:

From a practical standpoint it is very nice to work in your OWN area where nobody fusses about messes and moves things around on you.

LMAO... I'm on 18 acres, one heck of a long extension cord.... wonder what the voltage drop would be, on a 1000 ft of 16/2 ? :icon_rofl:

I vote for the house. Projects will come and go ALL the time. There will be tons of projects to choose from later when you get situated IN YOUR NEW HOUSE! How does that sound?

If you can, look for a basement. The little more you pay for a basement will turn into big rewards later when you want your MAN CAVE, family room, hobby shop, game room, extra bedroom or weight room, etc. Lots to explore with a basement.

Just great......someone with sound reasoning chimes in :icon_rofl:

My vote is for the house to. But you could do both too if you wanted a smaller down payment.

Hell, i wish i could afford to buy a house right now. There are several perfectly good houses around me selling for under 50k :shok:

Seriously thats crazy. I forget sometime living out here in good old California how much real estate is. 50K wouldn't pay for my garage.
