
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.. A friend of mine put an OM617 in his 92 4Runner, and I believed he ran a yota 5 spd behind it with an adapter.
I perfer the standard tranny as the diesel performs a little better being you can use the turbo to its full extent
Ya it's all in the tuning and what your using it for and the test of the truck would fail long before anything else if your towing all about the economy for me
