I'm thinking of going that route. Also thinking of future frame boxage. I was looking at rotating the lower mounts, but I may not need to with these mounts.

Come to think of it, I'll probably just tie these in somehow with a new engine crossmember.

Some photos of my progress with the coil buckets. The driver's side is a pain in the ass with that stupid power steering bump, but i'll take some photos of how I modified it.

Depending on how long I work tomorrow, I'll have her sitting on springs!

In this last picture, you can see I have an inch or two of room below the rectangle tube that's flush against the frame. This is perfect because I still need to do the track bar mount on the driver's side and I'll need a bit of room.
 
Yaaaay I'm off work in 30min and I get to finally put this thing on springs!

Just finished the driver's side coil bucket. I need to run to Home Depot for some hardware to bolt the springs in.

I may not have put enough bend in my radius arms. They're incredible stiff and if I jack up one side, the other wants to go up with it. Anyone know if the C bushings loosen up pretty well? Should I look into bending them in a little more?
 
You are definitely binding. Whats your radius arm frame mounts look like, are they binding when installed?

That's my answer right there. I wanted them in line with the frame, and they sit just under it. The angle of the wedges on the 79 D44 point more towards the center of the truck.

I had previously put a bend in my radius arms, essentially pinching them in towards the center of the truck, but it seems I didn't do enough.
 
Here's a trick/tip to use. Place the axle under the truck with the arms bolted to the axle but not the frame. Where they rest is where your mounting points need to be...

This is how I did mine. Works like a charm! :icon_thumby:
 
Did y'all run into the issue of them pointing more towards one side or another? I did bolt mine up at one point to the axle only and mine weren't symmetrical. My radius arms were imperfect :/

Still have some kinks to work out like the binding issue with the radius arms and steering binding.

No mine turned out almost identical. They were off by 1/4" iirc.
 
They can be off a little, as long as your length is the same, and your axle is centered correctly (tracbar) your good to go. I can see in your first pic there is bindage...

I have an untrained eye, are you talking about the steering linkage?
 
Yes I was talkin about my radius arms.
Your drag link does look like it'll bind at the tie rod. Can you screw your RA joints in any more? That might pull your axel back enough to let your steering flex right.
