Armadillon's FW Ranger D44/Ford 9"

Post your success!!!
I forgot all about doing that! I'll do the same thing with my brake brackets if it does good!

How's it working?

I think I'm going to take this battery charger back and exchange for one that I can set the amperage manually. This one likes to automatically do it and I'd rather have it running at max. Not bad though ;)

That's a big difference! I think I'm gonna do that to my rotors and caliper brackets

I'm going to do it to my rotors for sure. My axle came from Maine.

If you use a larger container you can also do your axle. I'd of course recommend throwing a coat of paint on immediately after it dries. Surface rust will form pretty quick.

Just started a rotor! Did you add anything to the water?

Baking soda/washing soda. You'll need it for sure. A moderate amount mixed in.

It's been covered extensively, but positive to your piece of metal you don't care about, negative to your part. Baking soda/washing soda to the water and turn her on.Wait hours and hours (overnight) and then scrub off all the red and black scum.

Awesome! Sorry I never looked it up. I'll she cl it out. Thanks bud!

My XKUT reamer is ridiculous. It chewed through the TRE like it was butter.

Is this too large a gap? Should I make the hole deeper or will this work just fine? I have plenty of room on the other side to thread the nut on and put the cotter pin through it.

Is the rubber skirt held in place by a groove on the TRE or will it easily slide around? If it's held in place by a groove then I don't think it will hurt anything leaving it like that.

No groove. And that's bothered me a bit about these TREs. They're really only going to stay on there if they're flush, but then you wouldn't be able to move the joint.

I would bore it a tad further. Do you have access to any leather? A old pair of work boots maybe? I'd make a couple leather washers to take up the last extra space. Or even a piece of soft rubber.
