I recently acquired an 89 Bronco II. Was told its been sitting for 3 plus years and driven 2000 miles in the past 11 years according to oil change sticker in the window. It wasn't running when I got it and would only run on starting fluid or gas sprayed into the intake. after replacing fuel pump and sending unit and rebuilding injectors. I got it running but i don't think its running on all cylinders. I hoping its just a cap rotor, plug/wire issue.I do not hear and ticking or clapping noises in the engine. My main concern is that the oil pressure gauge stays pegged on low. The previous owner told me the engine and tranny both have been rebuilt. I have notice injector plug connector clips were broken and some of the vac hoses were jacked up. I crawled underneath to check the connection on the oil pressure sending unit and noticed it is connected. Unplugged it and plugged it back in. I also noticed another wire just hanging below the sending unit. Im guess this is the oil level wire. it appear the oil level sending unit has been removed and plugged.
Per Chilton manual test I turned the ignition switch on and no oil light came on then I took the connector off the sending unit and grounded it with a jumper wire to the neg post on battery and turned the ignition switch on , again no oil light came on. Is there a low oil warning light on an 89 B2? . The only lights on my dash with the ignition on is check engine and battery light. Trying to determine if om getting a false reading on my pressure gauge on dash. Thanks

Put a mechanical gauge on there and know for sure.
