Hi
I just would like to know if I can drop in a flex fuel motor in my truck (non flex fuel) & have it run right is everything the same would it work on just regular gas? I found a deal on a whole parts truck with 143k rotted frame for cheap money so if it could work it'd be awesome
thanks in advance

Yes you can.

You will want to swap in your current fuel injectors as the flex fuel injectors are larger to account for the increased fuel needed when using E85, and your current computer isn't setup your the larger injectors so could set a "rich" code because injector dwell time(open time) is out of range, and no, you don't get more power from larger injectors.
I think both years used returnless fuel system

And not sure what year Ranger 3.0l's switched over to the 2 wire Cam Position sensor(CPS), Ford used 3 wire CPS until the late '90's, and they are not interchangable so you may need to swap CPS(and synchro) as well

You can read more about the 3.0l here: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/3_0-build.shtml
