- My credo
- In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Ok. I need to scrounge up some different parts for the hydroboost project. Either a different hydroboost unit that my master cylinder will fit onto, or, use the big master and do a SAS with 1 ton axles so the brakes match the master. Gotta think outside the box. (And budget)
In other news, i can use the back half of the Explorer air filter housing with it's MAF assembly. It will work perfectly with the other half of the 4.0l housing I used to make my snorkel system.
After those 15 minute jobs, I started tearing apart the underhood wiring harness to get rid of the 3.0l stuff and PCM. I'm going to also remove the old ubderhood fuse/relay box and integrate the one from the Explorer, which has more fuses and relays. Hoping I can clean up my engine bay wiring. The biggest issue is that I need or want another firewall bulkhead connector. The one from the Explorer is going to be a challenge to fit and it is a lot more than I need. I'll be seapping wires between the harnesses to maximize use of the original Ranger bulkhead connector. But I need more pin spaces than that. Anyone know of a good, low cost bulkhead connector I could get?
Pcm connector and the 3 engine harness connectors have been extracted. This looks worse than it is.
