ok so i tried doing one thread and some of the people on there were retarded so im starting a new one to try to clear up confusion. first off my problem is that i did a small rebuild on my 2.9Fi motor and re did all the gaskets from top to bottom and cleaned it out and in i droped it back into the truck and hooked everything up and it wont start. it cranks over but doesnt fire. i timed the distributor cap and i know im getting spark, air and fuel. it just doesnt wanna fire up. any help with be GREATLY APPREICATED

To me it sounds like you are missing an electrical connection somewhere. I'm sure you have already checked all your connections, but if it were me I would check them all again and the vaccume lines. If you are getting fuel and spark it has to be something simple you are overlooking, it happens to the worst of us.

do you know wat electrical connections i have to have hooked up in order for it to start. cuz i know some of them are ****ed up from previous owner. iive been trying to figure it out for over 3 days now

im an idoit with diagrams :(( cant read them to save my life. i wish someone had pictures of there 2.9 so i can ask them to take pictures of all the hoses and stuff so i can make sure everything is right ( previous owner was a kid and he didnt put some stuff on right) just got the truck 2 days before i tore it apart

duane get out of here and stop spamming my threads go do something else it isnt funny

your gonna have to learn to read those diagrams.they will save your butt.
or go find a guy and ask if you could look at his motor for the day.
id be inclined to look at the timing gear marks nut thats just my 2cents
