89 B2 was diesel now back to gas build. V8 time!

Well I scheduled an alignment next Thursday. Got a pretty good jump on it today. We are going out of town for the weekend so i won’t be able to get back at it until Monday. Well I mocked up one coil bucket with a f250 shock mount on it. Found some issues, frame was a little holy on the passenger side, coil bucket had a crack in it also. A pretty good one at that. Cut out the bad and welded in a patch. Still need to drill holes for skyjacker beam drop brackets. It’s a good start.

Just went through the whole thread - awesome build! Looks great and super cool seeing BII's still getting built :icon_thumby:

Spent a few hours on it today. Got the rest of the bolt holes drilled for the skyjacker lift brackets. Finished both coil buckets. Went up to see how the wife was doing and she was sleeping so I went back down. Did ball joints, reamed the knuckles for OTK. Swapped pitman arm out for the lifting one. Waiting for my camber/caster bushing to come in. I have it sitting on its own weight. Looks like I’ll have to raise the rear up some. We’ll see. More progress!

Well I have to I bled the front brakes still and the passenger leaf spring bolts to tighten, I was just done, hurting to bad. it’s all in there. I had to swap my rear leaf springs for my 6in skyjacker ones. What they don’t tell you is they are a 4 in lift spring with the blocks it’s a 6 inch. But they work great for what I had going on. They are spares for my ranger. Got the duff transmission mount glued together with my old mount. Didn’t take pics of that but it’s huge and heavy. I’m pretty much ready for my alignment appointment Thursday. I really didn’t want this thing taller but Olwell haha I’ll take some better pictures of it tomorrow.

Still a little low in the back. Front coils should settle some. All ready for its alignment tomorrow. Still have a few things to deal with still. But it’s drive able! Can’t wait to drive it after the alignment!

Well did a good shake down run today. Almost of 100 miles of off road/forest roads today. Led a Jeep group that wasn’t from the area. Have a few things to tweak but it did everything I put it through.

Well I haven’t been doing much, I’ve been dealing with it getting hot on highway. Found my bumper was blocking some air flow, fixed that, swapped to a 13 psi radiator cap vs a 16 pound cap I had. That made the biggest impact. I don’t really understand why. Also swapped a bigger and more cfm fan. But I drove it a few days playing with the radiator caps, and it cooled better with the 13 pound cap.
Anyways took it on a big trip to Naches Wa. Long trip, I was with the bronco club. Had a blast. The Bronco is a little bit tippy with all my weight up high. lol almost rolled it, but it was a fun trip. The boys had a great time. I don’t have many pictures right now. Camera guy took a bunch on the trail I guess.

Well went on another run with the bronco group. Went rock climbing some and beat the shit out of it and I’m kinda annoyed at myself. It went everywhere I pointed it, but my fuel tank got bashed in even with the skid plate. My passenger axle drop mount is folded over. It doesn’t look like the hole bracket is bent just the outer arm. Anyways haha back to the bigger problem. Coming into town from the run, I heard a loud bang, popped the hood and found it spit the belt off. Drove it off the road, found it broke the crank pulley bolt. Idk if it came loose or what happened. Got the broken bolt out, pulled the balancer off my parts engine. Had to pull a few other parts of my parts engine. Put a new front main seal in. Put a bunch of bearing mount on the crank. It still had its press fit. Idk probably should have replaced a few things but everything went back together tight so we’ll just hope for the best. I’m going to keep my eyes open for another engine.

Pulled the b2 back into the shop, put my bell tech knock off shackles on, raise the back up a little to much but I think it will settle to where it needs to be.

I sure do like this thing. Kinda wants me to turn the ranger back into a b2. Really wouldn’t be that hard since it started life out as a B2.

I too am gathering parts to swap a Kubota into my 89 b2
Oil pan out for delivery today ,have to do a bunch of cutting and welding on it .I need to pull the front single groove pulley and bring it to work to make a copy with 3 grooves
Got a 1 inch aluminum plate for the adapter but haven’t machined it yet. It’s going to be a long road there is a lot of stuff to make 😂

Oh yeah! I know what you mean! Would you be interested in selling an adapter if it works out? I might be interested. What model is your Kubota you’re using?
