did you at least come out ahead?

dang i needed that driver seat...lol....

anyways, where's the pics of the new rig?

sorry to hear you sold it! it was coming out nice. did you have to lengthen or shorten your driveshafts at all? or was it bolt up. and also do you know which joints you used to connect the rangers driveshafts to the ford 9 and d44 flanges?

danger - i wasnt happy with the front suspension. it was jerry rigged to high heaven. rode kinda funky. i could of redone it the right way but i didnt wanna invest that kind of money into somethin i wont get alot of use out of cause theres not too many placed around here to go muddin with out a tresspassing ticket or destruction of private property. so i traded it for a street truck which ill deffinatly get alot of use out of.

chkfkr - sorry i didnt refer him. it slipped my mind. he plans on makin it a 4 link front and rear and put a blown alcohol engine in it and use it as a sand dragster down in south carolina

josh - i think the trade turned out pretty well the new trucks got good suspension all around paint thats about 2yrs old and almost perfect interior. just had a 2.3 with a cracked head that came with it. im gona flip the short block and trans.

btw if anyone is lookin for a 2.3 short block with a mitsu 5 speed i those for sale

koty - i got a ford 9 flange off a 1980s e150 which used a flat flange that the joint adapter bolts to. i drilled new holes in it for the ranger drive shaft perfect length with the lift and the longer snout on the ford 9. but i had the intentions of getting a 1 peice driveshaft out of a e150 with the larger joints to bolt to it. i got it for like a stepping stone. use the stock drive shaft till it breaks then i have the room to go to a larger heavier duty shaft. d44 never got hooked up. idk what to tell you on that. i was just gona take it to a drive shaft shop and say DO WORK SON! haha

this pic is from the previous owner

i like the new truck just need to get my 5.0 put back together and a trans to drop in.

ah you traded. I thought you sold the lifted one and bought the lowered one. Glad you're happy with it! looks pretty good. Make sure to do a build thread once you start working on the lowered one

I was thinking along the lines of a turbo 2.3, that should help keep the weight down plus still have power.
