86 gen 1 sas build

That sucks man hopefully you get your parts soon. That thing is lookin awesome!

Had a couple of hours to work on the truck and a winch laying around so.....
Next is to finish welding, cut a bunch of the weight off the framing I used, make some bracing, and skin it. Still no parts shipped yet but the bumper will be done.

I'm going to as soon as I get home from work. I might pull an all nighter to get on track. I want to wheel so bad is driving me crazy seeing my truck in pieces. As soon as I get everything buttoned up I'm headed to the cliffs to beat some bugs out. Hopefully in a couple of weeks.:yahoo:

Let me know when you go.....like a week or so ahead of time. We'll work them bugs out. Do you have a CB?

Yeah I got the cb ready to go in and as soon as I get it going ill post a thread to get a bunch of us going. Ill make sure to give a couple of weeks in advance to get as many as we can.

Shocks are here! 14" travel bilsteins!:yahoo:

Also somebody told me about jumper joints or mis matched u joints to solve my drive shaft issues. Does anybody use these and are the reliable?:icon_confused:

You can get joints like that, yes. But I would seriously consider buying a couple as spares due to them being hard to find at a regular parts store in stock.

Thanks. Yeah I figured if they are any good I'd buy a few to have on hand.

Ok got out for a little bit in ran into a few issues.....
I started putting the doubler together and figured out I'm a half inch off with my adapter plate. I should have listened to Duffy but I figured it would fit. I'm gunna order the rest of his kit tomorrow.
Next I think I got a little over zealous with my shocks and they're a little long. No biggie ill just make buckets so I can make the shocks fit correctly.
I did get the track bar on and welded down and all the correct bolts on and tightened for the steering.
O well it's still forward progress. Not much but it counts.

I got the rear under the truck today. Now shocks, front buckets, brake lines, drive shafts and weld the exhaust back on. Almost there!!!:yahoo:
Pics!
