'84 ranger 2.8L 4x4 build thread

made my pumpkin into a jack o' lantern..... eh, i can always paint over it if i get tired of it:D

b2 tank will work. I actually have one I was thinking about installing myself. Looks like you had some fun. Nice diff cover.

Yeah I definitely had fun! And I have a b2 tank now, itl go in this summer... But my truck didn't pass smog! Looks like its the o2 sensor, anyone know where to find em????

On your exhaust before your cat(s). Mine has 4 of them. Not sure how many yours would have but I'm guessing you only have two. You'll have to find out whitch one it is thats out or replace them all and that can be pritty spendy. There around $60 a peace for mine.

Thanks! I found it and got a new one, it's sort of a bitch to take out so I'm gonna wait till after the poker run this weekend to put it in and do a new smog test... But yeah this weekend is the head 4 the hills blue canyon poker run! I'll have pictures of that this Monday or so!

Really? hmm... I have a three day weekend this weekend.

Well head to blue canyon! I'm sure you know how to get there and there will be a bunch of signs once you get near bretts mill! That'd be really awesome to have another ranger there... And there is on site regestration for the poker run

All in all, the d30 held up just fine.

Also just saw pictures of your limiting strap setup. Bad part for me is the PO of my axle cut the sway bar mounts off so I will have to put tabs on my axle.

Oh and scrib'd

Yeah the d30 is really kicking ass, no problems... And that sucks about the swaybar mounts, my limit chain set up is working nicely for me

Oh and Kevin, there's more info about the run on the 4x4 club of Fresno's website, that'd really be awesome if you showed! I'm heading down early tomorrow morning to help set up the run so I won't be able to see if you responded or not... Hope you can make it!

i dont have any updates on the ranger... but i dragged my very first crawler project up from the weeds today!

it was a lawn mower that me and my buddy converted into a "crawler" when we were 12 haha we moved the front axle forward and modified it to have more flex, and we found different pullys that equaled lower gear ratios, and my first attempt at a cage haha good ass times.... until my buddy ran it with no oil and killed it! oh well haha:icon_bounceblue::icon_bounceblue:

Id rock it.

Thanks! The ranger is waiting for smog testing right now so I'm building sliders and starting on a new more low profile bumper, the sliders are halfway done and I'm getting material for a bumper on Tuesday

:worthless:

I'm plan on building a set someday and want to see them in a first gen.
