2007 taurus engine in 1994 ranger

the oil pump is driven off of the distributor..so if its bad, you'll have no oil pressure.

of coarse a bad dizzy would also acuse a no-start.

hey i recently got a taurus motor and it has no oil pressure i changed everything u changed except the distributor can that do anything to the oil pick up ??

+1 with wicked sludge. the distributor on my 3.0 was a lot different than the taurus dist. but the drive shaft for the oil pump should still work.

So you can seriously use a taraus 3.0 in a Rwd Ranger application? I just need to change a few things, and it'll work properly?

i love my Vulcan, i wouldnt trade it for the world, grant it that it only has 23000 miles on it its handle a ton of abuse and still runs like new. you should go for another vulcan, you cant go wrong with it buddy, its the third one i've owned and i would recomend it to anyone

i hope it is good to me to. this is my first 3.0. but i'll have to say that my 2.9 is tons easier to work on. but it runs great so far. the motor has 102,000 miles on it. i also ported the lower intake cause it had a lot of casting marks. i just hope you don't really have to change head gaskets cause i didn't. the others i asked said i didn't have to. time will tell. i'll like so far though

I have a 1999 Ranger 3.0 flex fuel with a bad motor. I have been struggling to find an engine. I have seen a bunch of front wheel drive engines. Are the long blocks interchangeable? What exactly has to be changed? I thought the blocks were different and the transmission would not bolt up. Thank you for your help.
