So earlier today my pushrod popped out of the clutch slave and clutch went hard. I pulled over and was able to get the push rod back into the slave I go to start the truck and when in gear the truck won’t start it just lunges forward. If in neutral the truck fires up but then won’t go into gear. The clutch pedal feel fine it’s stiff and has recourse but I can’t start the truck in gear and I’m stuck on the side of the road

It sounds like you have a clutch failure and the clutch isn't disengaging for some reason. If it were me I'd try to start it in gear if it will and just drive to where it's safer, you might be able to shift without the clutch if you can rpm match close enough.

Yeah it won’t start while it’s in gear it just lurches forward. Is there any way I can bypass this I mean the truck was running great up until last night I just don’t have the time right now to drop the transmission

If the pedal is stiff then the hydraulics are working but the clutch isn't disengaging so I don't think you're going to have luck getting it going. Sometimes they'll start with the clutch engaged but sometimes not... You might get lucky and be able to run some fluid through the system and get some air out by loosening the bleeder screw just above the hose on the transmission end.

Ok so I have made progress on my ranger I put a new clutch master cylinder in and when I put it in gear it started up it didn’t just lurch forward it fired up . So I took it for a lil drive and was still having trouble shifting gears. I didn’t shift out of 2nd. Any ideas has anyone experienced any similar problems?

These clutches are notoriously finicky on air in them since the master cylinder angles backward as far as bleeding works, air has to go down to get out, it doesn't want to... Aside from pulling the master cylinder to bench bleed or pulling the snap ring for the clutch rod to bleed out the master cylinder the dumbest thing to try that doesn't always work is to put the clutch pedal to the floor (engine off or trans in neutral) and slip your foot off the pedal, repeat half a dozen times or so, it MIGHT help...

Not dumb. It works. I've even pushed and pulled the pedal with my hand to get it pick up enough fluid to put any tension on things. Only then could I use my foot.
