2000 V6 3.0 Automatic reverse lights

I have a 2000 V6 3.0 and the reverse lights do not work. I replaced the bulbs just for sh*ts and giggles but that didn't fix it. I've been doing a lot of research online and there seems to be some sort of back up light switch that's on the transmission but everything I'm reading and every part I find says it's manual transmission only, so I'm not sure if that could be the issue. I have checked the fuses and they are fine as well. I'm just kind of lost on how to fix this and was wondering if anyone could help. Thanks in advance.

It's built into the Neutral Safety Switch, you need to replace the whole switch.

Okay thank you for the information. Would this also make the shifter selector work better? Because mine is kind of janky. I just watched a video on how to replace it and although it looks pretty simple there are a few nuances that look like it could be irritating.

That is the one I ordered. They look the same, it was just slightly cheaper.

Yeah. Thanks for the help and actually linking the correct part even though I was able to locate it already. Do you have any idea what size the nut is to remove it? The videos I've watched it looks pretty big and I'm not sure I have a socket that big and they're not saying what size socket they used.

Not a clue. I haven't had one off since about 2010. I think I used an adjustable wrench then.
