If you think that'd be a problem, what about the heater core connections like on my 1st gen. That's pretty much what they are from the factory.

Back to the original problem--WAY less elaborate and WAY less $pendy heater hoses (FoMoCo wants $202 for the pair!!! and that's Rock Auto!) for Ye Olde 3-point-slow, 1999 Edition...

... would ordering heater hoses for a 1997 Ranger 3.0 successfully "delete" the silly 1/4" side-tees, and still get me the custom alternator-dodging bendy-bends at the water-pump/t-stat ends???
