First Post but I have searched the forum with no confident results, so I thought I would pose the question to all the Ranger Wizards . . .

I have a 2000 Ranger Regular Cab 2.L Automatic transmission 4R55E "code T".

- It stalls when shifted to "D"rive from park
- It does NOT stall when shifted from park to reverse
- It does NOT stall when shifted from park to "1"
- It SOMETIMES stalls when shifted from park to "2"

I "think" it is a shift solenoid. There are three shift solenoids. SSA, SSB & SSC. I don't know what gear each of these are associated with . . . Is shift solenoid A for "D"rive or "1". Maybe the problem is not the shift solenoid . . .

Any Ideas on what this might be? No OB Codes or pending codes.

Thanks
Tim
