Considering a laminar flow style muffler to upgrade from a stock style OEM. Looking at the Flowmaster website and their generic sound level graphic, these two mufflers sit near the middle of the range. Looking for a deep sound, with low drone, while attenuating the raspiness. If I were to go chambered, I’d likely do the 50 Series Delta Flow, however I think the DBX or HP-2 would work better. I also looked at the Flowmaster website FX but am not a fan of the straight-through glass pack design.
Anyone have experience with the DBX or HP-2 muffler on their 4.0L SOHC Cologne. Have a fresh set of MagnaFlow cats on it. No resonators. Just pipe and muffler after the cats. Thanks.
