Would M10x1.5x100 bolts do me for properly mounting a 2.9l to an engine stand?

What I do is stick the original trans bolt through the trans and see how much is going to stick into the engine when it is all together.

Then I take the head of my stand to the hardware store and find the right thread/size bolt in a length that will stick through a similar amount.

Too short and your engine can fall, too long and you don't get it up there tight, and have to shim the bolts. And since not all stands are the same it is hard to say how long your bolt should be.

Thanks! At what point do I have to start paying you for all this advice!?!?

Around the time that I start actually touching the vehicle.
