1990 ford ranger 300 swap in progress

My one buddy has a lifted YJ. He did all the usual Jeep lift stuff. Thing was borderline scary to go down the road in. We swapped in Dodge Ramcharger front leaf packs all the way around. He lost a couple inches of lift because of the different arch and in the rear we did a 1/4 elliptical but the thing was surprisingly stable all of a sudden on the road. Arguably he increased his suspension flex by a lot as well. I have a set of 4 of those springs waiting for a project, lol

Odd I’ve been in and around his all my life never had that experience 😅 most guys who want some stretch goto waggy springs. I didn’t want longer springs on this setup just out of working space and clearances currently.

If you ever get to see a v8 swapped MG, they're hilarious. Headers sit directly behind the front tires.
This makes me wish Gwaii was still active on here. Dude converted a Jag V-12 to carbs and stuck it in one of the MG style cars

I used to remember the length difference between YJ springs and the Ramcharger fronts. If it wasn’t storming I might go try to grab a measurement, but I don’t think they were significantly different on length. The big difference is that they are a pack designed to be fine with flexing negative arch

Ahhh yes love of unreliable turds for the sake of cool factor 😂👌😎
Oh man, this dude did the whole thing on a shoestring budget and built the entire thing in his basement during the winter. In the spring he tore it to pieces and carried it back up the steps to reassemble in the driveway
